Work Arrangements: Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements, this position will require some physical presence at the NRC work location and is eligible for hybrid work arrangement (a combination of working onsite and offsite).

We are looking for a Project Management Coordinator to support the Industrial Research Assistant Program (IRAP). The Project Management Coordinator would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

 

Working within IRAP’s Program Control and Oversight (PCOT) team, you will support the PCOT team by managing the information management of all program control and oversight data,  developing, maintaining and supporting tracking and coordination tools. You will liaise with peers, contractors and other IRAP and NRC teams to create reporting updates on collaborative projects and monitor data quality.

 

You will support the Program Control and Oversight (PCOT) team by monitoring the team mailbox and triaging or addressing questions and problems assigned to the team. You will provide recommendations for the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools, as well as offering administrative and coordination support to the Program Control and Oversight  (PCOT) team.
 


Screening Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:


Education

College or a university degree and a project management certification.

Experience
  • Significant experience* in project management co-ordination using Azure, MS Project, Planner in order to coordinate activities, manage tasks, and projects, organize information, create status reports, analyze data and information, and presenting the information.
  • Significant experience* in the application of project management principles and the implementation of best practices.
  • Experience using MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams.
  • Significant experience supporting various clients and stakeholders.

 

*Significant is defined as the depth, breadth and diversity of experience normally acquired through performing a broad range of various activities, over a period of approximately three(3) years.

 

Asset:

  • Working experience with SharePoint.

Technical Competencies
  • Knowledge of project management theory and practices.
  • Sound knowledge of operational and financial management within a large organization preferably within a Canadian federal government context.
  • Ability to undertake basic research, present options and provide rationale for recommendation, specifically related to their project management coordination work.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial and project information.

Compensation

Salary under review
From $60,143 to $70,963 per annum. 

 

In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
