We are looking for Project Management Coordinators to support our Construction Research Centre. The Project Management Coordinators would share our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
NRC Construction is active in the innovation of buildings — residential, commercial and institutional — as well as in civil engineering infrastructure. In collaboration with stakeholders and clients, we support the industry by developing and validating cost-effective technologies and solutions, developing and deploying national model building codes and regulations, and providing evaluations for new products and market access services.
 
The Project Management Coordinators support Project Management activities, and develop and maintain project plans using SAP Project Systems (SAP-PS). In collaboration with Project Managers, they implement project plans, make changes to those plans via the change approval process, monitor project data quality and resolve any identified problems. They also generate complex report for performance management, and must understand issues and propose solutions to ensure projects are delivered on-time and on-budget. The incumbents provide recommendations for the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.


Screening Criteria


Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:


Education


College degree including project management courses.
 

A combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
A Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) accreditation by the Project Management Institute (PMI) would be an asset.

Experience

 

  • Experience in supporting project management (gathering information and updating project data, maintaining project forms, templates and tools, producing project reports, supporting 2 or more project managers concurrently).
  • Significant experience using MS Office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in the application of project management principles and the implementation of best practices including coaching others in the application of these principles and practices.
  • Experience in supporting project management in a research and development environment would be an asset.
  • Experience using SAP Project Systems would be an asset.

  • Ability to give presentations and provide coaching and training to colleagues in various aspects of project management.
  • Ability to implement new processes, methods, or practices that significantly improve project management.

Compensation


~ Salary under Review ~
From $60,143 to $70,963 per annum. 


In addition, the incumbents who meet the language requirements will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
