The Graz University of Technology in cooperation with the Austrian Center of Industrial Biotechnology offers a fully funded PhD position (Basic gross salary for 30 hrs/week: € 2.684,10) with start in June 2024.

Profile:
• A completed MSc degree in the areas of microbiology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related disciplines.
• Experience working in a microbiology/biotechnology laboratory.
• Knowledge of next-generation sequencing, bioinformatics, and statistics.
• Proficiency in high-throughput data management and multi-omics data integration.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

This project focuses on understanding the roles of new microbial agents for one health, and on the development of novel products for disease treatments using integrative multi-omics approaches.
