OeAD Anniversary Grant
To celebrate it's 50th anniversary the OeAD initiates an anniversary grant, which will establish a strong connection to the founding history of the ÖAD. The ÖAD was founded as an association of the Austrian universities and was from the very beginning responsible for the support of international students in Austria who often also came from crisis regions.
With the OeAD anniversary grant the OeAD sets socio-political priorities and shows its commitment to internationalisation strategies. The grant is understood as an impulse and strives for the participation of other institutions and actors for funding.
The OeAD anniversary grant supports non-European researchers in selected countries who deal scientifically with the democratisation process and thus contribute to the development and strengthening of the civil society.
The current regional focus is on the countries of the Maghreb; eligible for application are postgraduates and post-docs from social sciences, humanities and cultural studies from the following countries: Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, Egypt.
Duration and focus: 4 to 5 months with a clear focus on the democratization process in the Maghreb countries. Both the topic and the regional relation must be shown clearly in the application.
The scholarship will be open for application for the academic year 2012/13 for the first time and is financed from own resources of OeAD. Applications have to be submitted online and are reviewed in a scientific peer review process.
Monthly grant instalment

- for post-docs: 1040 euros
