Offer Description

"1989 - Association for the Promotion of Historical Transformation Research and Knowledge Transfer" (short title in the local language: "Verein 1989") is looking for a researcher interested to gain experience in the field of grant writing for 40 hours/week, starting between June and Octoberr 2024 for 6 months. 

Tasks tend to have a broad range and can include:
- Identifying grant funding opportunities with scientific (FWF, ÖAW etc.) and non-scientific (ÖFG, City of Vienna etc.) funders.
- Searching and securing available funding opportunities for Verein 1989 by writing, submitting, and managing grant proposals. 
- Furnishing prospective funders with supporting documents.
- Developing relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Displaying adherence to our organization’s mission.
- Maintaining proficient knowledge of our organization’s history and programs.
- Collaborating with the executive board of the organisation in networking with benefactors.

Skills/Qualifications

Excellent (written) communication skills, excellent knowledge of English (C1), confident use of digital tools, very good knowledge of MS Office, as well as the ability to work in a team, independence, and reliability are required. Skills in the German language (at any level) are an advantage. Grant writing experience is an advantage but not required.
