Zonta International seeks to advance the status of women worldwide by improving the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women at the global and local levels through service and advocacy.
This bursary is designed to assist a female student who is experiencing or has experienced circumstances which may affect her ability to study. This may include financial difficulties, health or family problems, social dislocation or other adverse impacts.
Programs of study
Any undergraduate academic program at the Griffith University – 1 Bursary
Any undergraduate Queensland College of Art program – 1 Bursary
Value and conditions
The Bursaries are valued at $1000 each and paid in a one-off payment for one year.
Academic merit - GPA of 4.5 or above to apply.
Recipients may be asked to attend the Zonta Club of Brisbane South dinner meeting after first semester to report on progress in course.

Two bursaries are available.
Zonta Club of Brisbane South
Selection will be based on the following criteria. The applicant must:
- A full-time undergraduate student studying academic program at Griffith University and/or Queensland College of Art in 2012.
- Must be a Female Indigenous Australian.
- Responses to statements in Section 2: Personal statement.
- Prepared to attend Zonta Club of Brisbane South dinner meeting after first semester to report on progress in course.
- Academic merit - GPA of 4.5 or above to apply
- Short listed applicants will be required to attend an interview
