UTS PhD Scholarship in Pharmacy – Cancer Drug Resistance, University of Technology Sydney.

A full-time PhD scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate with a First Class or Second Class (Div 1) Honours degree or a Masters by Research in science or pharmacy, to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Pharmacy at UTS. The project is NHMRC funded and will examine the role of microparticles in selective trait dominance in cancer. Applicants should have a particular interest and experience in cancer cell biology and multiple drug resistance mechanisms. Applicants must be eligible to successfully apply for a PhD at UTS. The value of this scholarship is AUD24583 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years, reviewed annually.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES. It is required that your study starts no earlier than July 1, 2011 and no later than August 31, 2011.

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, Honours 2a or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or AUS permanent resident can apply.
