What are the Supporting Women Scholarships?
The Supporting Women Scholarships are a Queensland Government initiative that opens doors for women to undertake study, and ultimately employment, in the nominated fields below.
The scholarships, worth up to $20 000, are being offered by the Queensland Government over four years.
Applications are now open for scholarships commencing at the beginning of the 2013 academic year.
What fields of study and level are the scholarships available for?
The scholarships are available for study in agricultural science, architecture, building services, engineering, geology, or information and communication technology from certificate IV to postgraduate level.
Who is eligible?
The Supporting Women Scholarships are available to women at all stages of their lives and careers. Women who are studying year 12 (or on a gap year), changing careers, or looking to study and return to the workforce, are eligible to apply for a scholarship.
Applications must be received by close of business on 12 October 2012. Successful recipients will be notified in December 2012.
