- The award is to assist an outstanding academic establish his or her research career. Eligibility for the award is restricted to Academic Staff currently holding a Teaching and Research (T&R) appointment at Level B in Chemistry or Chemistry-related disciplines, and who are within five years of their first appointment (contract or continuing) at the University of
Melbourne. A report is provided annually to the Selby Trustees by the successful candidate; the successful candidate must acknowledge the Selby Scientific Foundation in any publications arising from their research during the award period.
- Process:
The Award is made by a University Committee, chaired by the Associate Dean, Research & Industry - Faculty of Science, with membership including the Head of the School of Chemistry and at least one other professor nominated by the Dean of Science.
