School of Medical Sciences Pharmacy Regional Scholarship
If you are from a rural or regional area and are commencing the RMIT Bachelor of Pharmacy program, this scholarship provides financial assistance towards your study and living costs.
Value and duration
The scholarships are worth $7000 per annum for four years.
Number of scholarships available
There are two scholarships.
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- be a citizen of Australia or New Zealand or a Australian permanent resident or humanitarian visa holder
- be commencing a full time Bachelor of Pharmacy at RMIT in Semester 1 2012
- have applied through VTAC and be accepted for enrolment commencing in 2012
- be a rural/regional student as defined by the Australian Government's PhARIA classification and living in categories 2 – 6.
If your application is successful, we will notify you in mid January 2012.

Applications close 22 December 2011. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted after this date.
Terms and conditions
As the holder of this scholarship you will be expected to do the majority of your pharmacy placements in RMIT-selected regional areas around Victoria.

Scholarship selection will take place during January 2012. The selection criteria will be based primarily on suitability to complete the program as evidenced by interest, academic record and, where applicable, other prior learning and experience.
The Selection Committee will comprise the Head of School and Discipline Head Pharmacy.
Scholarship offers will be made to successful applicants around the middle of January 2012.
