QCMRI/UQ - PhD Scholarships

The successful candidates will study a PhD in one of QCMRI's research themes including cancer and cell biology; the developing brain, growth and a healthy start to life; infection inflammation and the environment; burns trauma and the critically ill; and innovative evidence based health care and delivery. We are seeking dynamic, intelligent, highly motivated PhD candidates who have a background in a variety of disciplines including: - scientific and laboratory; population health and epidemiology; statistical; veterinary; clinical; allied health or other relevant background. uccessful applicants will demonstrate a strong desire to develop a successful and highly-productive research or commercial career in child or adolescent health. The primary supervisor of the PhD candidate will be a core member of the Institute and the student will most likely be based at the Royal Children's Hospital, Herston, Brisbane, Queensland.

This scholarship is offered dependent on funds to 5 people. Open for applications from April 16, 2012 until December 31, 2012.

The value of this scholarship is AUD33728 (total amount). This award is to be used for travel. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES. It is required that your study starts no earlier than April 16, 2012 and no later than December 31, 2015.
