Professor Allan Carmichael Scholarship in Medicine

The late Professor Allan Carmichael was a much admired and respected Dean of the UTAS Faculty of Health Science and Head of the School of Medicine. His quiet and dignified manner, both in the community and towards his colleagues, will be remembered by all who knew him. In 2007 Professor Carmichael received the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to medicine and as an educator. UTAS is proud to award this scholarship in his name.


Eligibility

Available to a student with an outstanding Australian Tertiary Admissions Ranking who is commencing the MBBS course.


On-going Eligibility

To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Credit or Distinction result in all units studied each semester.


Amount

Payment of course fees (HECS).


Duration

Up to four years (subject to continuing high-level academic performance)
