The University of Sydney Business School has an outstanding international reputation for high quality research. Many of our staff are distinguished and internationally renowned scholars in their own fields.

Our School comprises 220 academic staff located across the following disciplines and research centres: Accounting, Business Information Systems, Business Law, Finance, International Business, Marketing, Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies, Operations Management and Econometrics, Work and Organisational Studies and the Workplace Research Centre.

Our School is committed to ensuring that we are further distinguished for our research scholarship and we have put in place a range of initiatives designed to enhance our disciplinary and cross disciplinary research activities.

As part of this strategy we are seeking two Postdoctoral Research Fellows. These Fellowships are open to applicants wishing to pursue a program of full-time research in any discipline or centre within the School. Cross disciplinary applications will also be welcome.

These positions offer you an excellent opportunity to conduct research within a world class, supportive and well resourced research environment. You would be expected to be based full-time in the School for the duration of the Fellowship.

To be successful you will have:

• a PhD in a field relevant to the School
• an outstanding research track record relative to opportunity with proven research ability and demonstrated potential for further development
• the ability to work cooperatively with others
• excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to prepare research outputs for communication purposes
• good organisational skills

Remuneration package:
A competitive remuneration package of $96,980 is available (consisting of a base salary $81,949 [as at July 2011], leave loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation).
