A Macquarie University PhD scholarship (MQRES) is available in the Dept of Economics ssociated with an Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project DP120102220. Information about financial and macroeconomic conditions arrives at different times and frequencies,creating a timing problem for business and policy assessment. This project investigates the joint time-varying dynamics of vital financial and macroeconomic indicators for information arriving at different frequencies. It will derive risk management strategies that better account for the associated systemic risks. This scholarship provides a living allowance for domestic candidates whose tuition fees are covered under RTS funding, or may be available to cover the tuition fees for an international candidate.
