The Legal Governance Concentration of Research Excellence (CORE) in Macquarie University Law School, is offering 2 full time PhD scholarships. The successful applicant will undertake inter-disciplinary research on issues related to legal governance and public policy in: ■ the governance and ethical, legal and social implications of new medical technologies, ■ the changing nature of legal practice, ■ freedom of speech, expression and assembly ■ Pacific Islands legal systems, ■ the nature, methodology and impact of modern institutional law reform agencies ■ information law, ■ animal welfare law To discuss, please contact the supervisor, Professor David Weisbrot AM after referring to http://www.hdr.mq.edu.au/information_about/scholarships. The value of this scholarship is AUD22860 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for research, living expenses and fees. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 and a half years.
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Justice and legal studies, Law, Law enforcement, Other law, justice and law enforcement, Policy and administration, POLICY AND POLITICAL SCIENCE or Professional development of law practitioners.
This scholarship is for study in Australia.
