The Central Highlands District Health Council Bursary is open to first year undergraduate students in a Human Health Science* course at James Cook University.

The Aurora Project
Are you an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student or graduate interested in postgraduate study overseas? The Aurora Project is seeking applications from high achieving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander undergraduates in any field of study, who have completed at least two years of their course of study. For those contemplating postgraduate study overseas, the Aurora Scholars’ Study Tour provides an invaluable opportunity to travel with a group of like-minded students, visit universities and meet with academics, administrators and current postgraduate students in your area of interest at Cambridge and Oxford universities in the UK, and Columbia, Harvard, New York University (NYU) and Stanford in the US.

Rhodes Scholarships - Australia
These prestigious scholarships fund students under 25 years of age for postgraduate study at Oxford University. There are nine scholarships available each year from Australia – one from each state and three from Australia-wide. For study in 2014, the application deadline is 3 September 2013.
The Scholarships are awarded to outstanding students from all study areas based on intellect, character, leadership and commitment to service. If you are completing your Honours studies in 2013 or have completed one year of postgraduate study, and would like to learn more about this exciting opportunity, you should attend an information session in Cairns or Townsville.

Anglo American Undergraduate Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all undergraduate students who are studying a degree relevant to the work completed by organisations in the mining sector. Anglo American is also pleased to offer one scholarship specifically to support an exceptional indigenous student throughout their university studies.
Each scholarship is valued at $12,500 per year over the course of your degree!

Summer Scholarships to Study Spanish in Spain at the University of Malaga
Two scholarships are being awarded, each for a one-month Spanish summer course at the University of Malaga. The awards include the full course cost as well as accommodation in a shared student apartment (single room). Airfare and personal spending are not included in the award. The value of each award is of 800€ (approximately $1,000).

Award recipients will be announced on 15 December 2013.

Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarships
For promising postgraduate students to complete their Australian PhD; to undertake study in any field; or to support enrolment in a U.S. postgraduate program. This scholarship supports an 8-10 month program.
Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholarships
For successful researchers who have completed their PhD in the past five years to undertake postdoctoral research in the U.S. This scholarship supports a 3-12 month program.

Anne Wexler Master's Scholarships in Public Policy
The Anne Wexler Australian-American Studies Scholarships in Public Policy will enable Australian postgraduate students with strong academic credentials and leadership potential to undertake a Master’s degree the United States in an area that supports Mrs Wexler’s binational interests in the field of public policy. These may include, but are not limited, to key areas such as health, sustainability, energy, climate change, regional security political science, history or governmental relations. The Anne Wexler Scholarships are open from 1 July to 30 September 2013.
AVCAT Scholarships – open soon!
The Australian Veterans’ Children Assistance Trust (AVCAT) is a national independent charity administering tertiary scholarships for children and grandchildren of ex-service men and women. These scholarships are between $3,000 and $4,000 and are opening on 18 August 2013! Start working on your application now – the closing date is 31 October 2013.
