About this scholarship

Two vacancies are available for MPhil students for two years with the HILT CRC and Curtin University at the Curtin University Bentley Campus in Perth Western Australia. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist the development and derisking of a hydrometallurgical iron ore upgrading process.

The positions come with the possibility of living stipends from the HILT CRC (AUD 35 000 per year) and fee scholarships from Curtin University (AUD 40 000 per year) to successful applicants with excellent academic records. The positions are for 2 years.

Funding does not include relocation costs.

Stipend agreement to be concluded through HILT CRC.


Scholarship Details

M Phil by research in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering


Bachelor of Engineering in chemical engineering, process engineering, mining and minerals processing engineering or related field. Interest in process technology development, iron ore mineralogy and iron ore beneficiation.

A publication record will be beneficial.

Meet Curtin University requirements for full time enrolment in the eligible course.

Domestic (Australian) applicants are preferred, but all applicants will be considered.

Successful recipients must also not be in receipt of any other scholarship.
