Griffith Health Studies Certificate is a non-award program offered to Year 12 students enrolled in an approved International Baccalaureate curriculum including higher level Biology and higher level Chemistry.
Students enrolled in this program must be an Australian Citizen or New Citizen. (Please note that New Zealand students will not receive a cash benefit. An equivalent sum will be credited to their student fees).
Griffith Health offers up to ten bursaries to the value of the tuition costs of the Griffith Health Studies Certificate.
Students are required to apply for the bursary. Applications for the bursary may be submitted by students who have successfully completed the Griffith Health Studies Certificate and are currently enrolled in a Griffith degree that uses the Health Foundation Year as the first year of the degree program. Bursaries will be awarded to students based on academic achievement in the Griffith Health Studies Certificate.
The bursary will be paid into the successful applicant's nominated bank account. The bursary may be considered taxable income and may affect Centrelink payments
Eligibility and selection criteria
The selection and eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must have successfully completed the Griffith Health Studies Certificate in 2011
- be enrolled at the semester 1, 2012 census date (March 2012) in a Griffith undergraduate degree which uses the Health Foundation Year as the first year of the degree program.
- Applicants must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen. (Please note New Zealand students will not receive a cash benefit. An equivalent sum will be credited to their student fees).
The Griffith Health Selection Committee will assess applications, and reserves the right to determine how many applications will be awarded based on the quality of the applicant pool.
