The Opportunity
Applications are invited for a three-year PhD scholarship, within the Australian Centre for Research into Injury in Sport and its Prevention (ACRISP) - Monash Injury Research Institute (MIRI).
MIRI reflects Monash University's exceptionally broad-ranging capabilities in the prevention, management and rehabilitation of injury. Specialist multi-disciplinary teams at the Institute undertake targeted research, often in partnership with government, industry and community organisations, in areas such as sports injury prevention, injury epidemiology, transport safety, workplace safety, and more. All our researchers share the singular goal of preventing injuries, saving lives and building futures.
ACRISP is a centre within the recently established Monash Injury Research Institute. It is one of only four research centres internationally to be funded as an International Olympic Committee (IOC) Research Centre for the Prevention of Injury and Promotion Athlete Health. Its research program is funded by national competitive grants from the NHMRC and ARC, as well other funding from government departments, health promotion agencies, sports medicine authorities and peak sports bodies.
As a full-time scholarship recipient, you will receive a tax free stipend of $27,651 pa for three years. Full-time students are expected to devote at least four days per week to their
