German Academic Exchange Service Research Grants for Doctoral, Young Academics & Scientists

Research grants provide young academics and scientists with an opportunity to carry out a research project or a course of continuing education at a German university or non-university research institute for duration 1 to 12 months; 12 months scholarships may be extended up to 24 months. 2 deadlines: 30 September, for stays of more than six months (to run from April/October of the following year) & for short term visits of 1-6 months (to run from February of the following year) and 31 March, for short term visits of 1-6 months (to run from August of the same year)

This scholarship is offered bi-annually to an unspecified number of people. Open for applications until March 31, 2013.

The value of this scholarship is EUR795 (maximum per month). This award is to be used for research, living expenses and travel. This scholarship is paid monthly.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: AGRICULTURAL, VETERINARY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES, ARCHITECTURE, URBAN ENVIRONMENT AND BUILDING, BEHAVIOURAL AND COGNITIVE SCIENCES, BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, CHEMICAL SCIENCES, COMMERCE, MANAGEMENT, TOURISM AND SERVICES, EARTH SCIENCES, ECONOMICS, EDUCATION, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, HISTORY AND ARCHAEOLOGY, INFORMATION, COMPUTING AND COMMUNICATION SCIENCES, JOURNALISM, LIBRARIANSHIP AND CURATORIAL STUDIES, LANGUAGE AND CULTURE, LAW, JUSTICE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES, MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES, PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGION, PHYSICAL SCIENCES, POLICY AND POLITICAL SCIENCE, SCIENCE - GENERAL, SOCIAL SCIENCES, HUMANITIES AND ARTS - GENERAL, STUDIES IN HUMAN SOCIETY or THE ARTS.

This scholarship is for study in Germany. There are no restrictions on citizenship.
