We seek a student to work on a PhD research project in the area of bioinformatics. We use innovative bioinformatics / computational approaches to investigate the immune responses to infectious diseases. This research has potential implications for the design of treatments for, and vaccines against, various infectious diseases. A strong quantitative science background in a field such as bioinformatics, computing science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or biology is required.

This scholarship is offered on an ongoing basis to one person. Open for applications until August 17, 2012.
The value of this scholarship is AUD25000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, INFORMATION, COMPUTING AND COMMUNICATION SCIENCES, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES, MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES or PHYSICAL SCIENCES.
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent.
