This scholarship is established in support of the objectives of the UWA Centenary Trust for Women and in memory of the late Miss Dorothea Angus who was senior music teacher and organist at Perth College from 1938 to 1970.
The Centenary Trust for Women Dorothea Angus Memorial Scholarship is provided to assist and encourage a meritorious female student experiencing financial hardship and for whom educational opportunities are limited, for example because of distance, economic disadvantage, cultural differences, disability or responsibility for the care of children, the ill or the elderly, to pursue a Bachelor of Music degree with Honours or a Bachelor of Music Education degree with Honours in the School of Music at The University of Western Australia.
