Scholarship Description

This project will develop a river flow forecasting methodology that will provide improved flow forecasts with lead times of hours to seasons. The improvements in flow forecasts are expected to come from more accurate and higher spatial resolution precipitation data, and constraining model predictions with ground based and remotely sensed observational data sets. This scholarship is offered once only to one person. Open for applications from September 24, 2010 until October 15, 2010.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD26500 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 and a half years.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Civil engineering. It is required that your study starts no earlier than December 1, 2010 and no later than March 30, 2011.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or AUS permanent resident can apply.
