Australian Wool Education Trust - AWET PhD and Masters Scholarship

*Currently not on offer* To encourage uptake, the Woolwise Australian Wool Education Trust fund a number of scholarships for students across Australia who wish to undertake sheep and wool education training.The scholarships are intended for research contibuting to the viability and future development of the wool industry, either on-farm, processing, marketing or wool fabric development and design. Funding for up to two PhD or two Masters scholarships is provided each year. Additional funding up to $5000 is provided upon application to cover operational expenses. Applications for these scholarships can be made directly to the Trust and must be supported by an academic referee from the University at which the student is or intends to enrol. This scholarship is offered annually to 2 people. Dates when to submit scholarship application are not specified.

The value of this scholarship is AUD30000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for accommodation, living expenses, travel and fees. This scholarship is paid annually for the period of 2 years if masters or 3 years if PhD.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: AGRICULTURAL, VETERINARY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES.

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 2a or equivalent. You must be between the age of 21 and 65. Only citizens of Australia or AUS permanent resident can apply. You must have studied at or be currently studying at an Australian university.
