What you'll receive

This PhD scholarship is offered as part of the Australia-France Network of Doctoral Excellence (AUFRANDE) Program. Successful applicants will enrol in a dual doctoral research program at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) (Australia) and Université de Bretagne Occidentale (UBO) (France). The research host institution is Institut Français pour l’Exploitation de la Mer (IFREMER) (France).

IFREMER offers a 36-months full-time work contract (with the option to extend up to a maximum of 42 months). There is a no probation period and the total working hours per week is 38 hours. The remuneration, in line with the European Commission's rules for Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellows, will consist of a gross annual salary of EUR 27,600 EUR. Of this amount, the estimated net salary to be received by the researcher is EUR 1,770 per month. However, the definite amount to be received by the Researcher is subject to national tax legislation.
