APPEA The KA Richards Scholarship
*closed, next round early 2015* The Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) invites applications for the KA Richards Memorial Scholarship. It is tenable in the fields of petroleum engineering or petroleum geoscience for * one year for Masters Study OR * three years full-time or appropriate part-time study for a Doctoral degree. The award of maximum $10,000 p.a. is available for use for: living stipend; travel; materials; laboratory or computer services; fees. The scholarship may be held in conjunction with another award. Applications must be supported by two referees and seconded by an APPEA Councillor, a list of whom can be obtained from the APPEA Canberra office or the scheme website. Applicants should stipulate the topic of research, the institution in which it is to be conducted and nominate the proposed supervisor.

This scholarship is offered biennially to one person. Dates when to submit scholarship application are not specified.
The value of this scholarship is AUD10000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses, travel and fees. This scholarship is paid fortnightly.
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: EARTH SCIENCES or ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY.
This scholarship is for study in Australia. Only citizens of Australia or AUS permanent resident can apply.
