Anna Lodewyckx Icelandic Scholarships, University of Melbourne

Augustin Lodewyckx, formerly associate professor and head of the department of Germanic Languages in the University, presented funds to the university to endow a major and a minor scholarship. The scholarships support students who are willing to undertake an approved course of study at a Scandinavian university.

The scholarships are open to graduates or final year honours undergraduates of an Australian or international university, who possess an elementary knowledge of a Scandinavian language. A recipient of a major scholarship must undertake an approved course at a Scandinavian university. A minor scholarship may be awarded towards costs associated with study in Iceland. For the purposes of this scholarship, a Scandinavian country is Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland or the Faroe Islands.
