About this scholarship

Disclaimer Information - This scholarship is offered and administered by external organisation, the Rhodes Trust. The information and timeline may be updated in accordance with their updates / advice.

The Rhodes Scholarships are postgraduate awards supporting outstanding all-round students at the University of Oxford - one of the world's leading universities. The Scholarships provide transformative opportunities for exceptional individuals, encouraging them to 'fight the world's fight' throughout their lives, and aiming to contribute to international understanding. Established in 1903 under the will of Cecil Rhodes, the Rhodes is the oldest and perhaps the most prestigious international graduate scholarship program in the world.

Of the 9 scholarships available each year in Australia, each state offers one scholarship that is awarded by a selection committee of seven members based in the state. In addition, there are 3 Australia-at-large scholarships awarded to a selection committee based in Canberra.
