Position Details:

Summary of Duties: The Scientific Laboratory Manager is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track, administrative professional position. Reporting to the Institute of Materials Research (IMR) Director, the Scientific Laboratory Manager is responsible for managing the IMR laboratories, and coordinating technical and related personnel. The Scientific Laboratory Manager has signature authority on IMR service center accounts, allocates resources for laboratory renovation and expansions (in conjunction with appropriate faculty), develops and implements laboratory operational and safety policies and procedures, and is responsible for the overall laboratory conditions. The Scientific Laboratory Manager assists with coordinating research projects, interacting with clients, and maintaining laboratories.


Required Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate related scientific discipline and four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience which has included at least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
