Job Overview: Our client requires certified Performing Arts teachers (drama, music and dance) for an attractive 2-year opportunity (renewable) in the highly respected and recognized Government Program to teach in public schools (grades 8-12) in the UAE. Pre-approved candidates will be invited to attend a mandatory in-person interview hosted by the client. The in-person interviews will take place in Toronto on April 29th and 30th.
Benefits: Teachers will be paid 21,000 Dirhams per month which is equivalent to US$5700 Tax Free. This total amount includes an accommodation subsidy. There are summer vacation and national holidays amounting to 42 days annual leave. The employer will provide medical insurance for the teacher and eligible family members, mobilization costs (for staff locating from another country), end of service benefits, and repatriation back to your home country (for eligible employees). Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Performing Arts (Theatre Arts, Drama, Music or Dance); OR B.Ed with a focus on Performing Arts; OR PGCE in Performing Arts. Desirable: Young, fresh graduates with a passion to succeed; 2 years’ teaching experience is desirable but not essential; Previous experience working in an ESL context.
Additional Details: Performing Arts Lead Trainers will be responsible for the successful implementation of the curriculum. By doing so, Performing Arts Lead Trainers are required to provide coordination and leadership to equip teachers to use appropriate learning projects, instructional activities and assessment schedules, in line with agreed quality guidelines. Performing Arts Lead Trainers assist with the development, review and update of the MOE teaching/learning resources, assessment tasks and projects for use by their teaching teams. Every team member is encouraged to provide ideas and suggestions leading to continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices.
Organization Overview: The respected Government Program has a network of K-12 schools across Dubai, Sharjah and Northern Emirates. They are comprised of Male and Female Campuses. The client has been mandated to bring onboard 400+ teachers. New teachers will enhance and develop the student learning experience and bring onboard western teaching methods and practices.
