Summary of Duties:

The Administrative Assistant 3 position provides administrative support to the Chair of the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences. The duties of the position include, but are not limited to: managing department chairs schedule; managing department hatch project initiations, renewals, annual reports and closings; preparing, editing and/or proofreading miscellaneous confidential documents and reports in a timely manner; coordinating special events; maintaining and updating filing systems for sensitive material; participating in special projects and/or assignments; maintaining classroom media materials; coordinating searches and performing other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

High School graduation or equivalent AND three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work; OR equivalent education/experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a University setting.
