Position Summary:
This full time CTE teaching
position includes instruction, assessment, and classroom management of high
school students 10-12 grades in the areas of Law Enforcement, under the
direction of the ATCC Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Law Enforcement instructor’s
responsibilities include: instruction, assessment, and classroom management of
high school students enrolled in Law Enforcement classes/program ; student
advisement, supervision of students, service on campus committees, program
planning, student evaluation, and student recruitment, professional
development, development of curriculum, maintenance of classroom records, and
consistent communication with industry representatives in the field. Duties
also include participation in applicable student groups and professional
committees and close collaboration with the Law Enforcement Program Chair at ATU
Ozark Campus.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree within the area
of instruction (Law Enforcement).
Two or more years' documented
work experience in the industry (Law Enforcement).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in related field
of study.
Three years job experience in the
educational instructional setting, preferably with secondary students.
Experience in the Law Enforcement
industry.
Work Location, Environment,
and Physical Demands:
This position is located at
Arkansas Tech Career Center on Knoxville Avenue (Highway 7T) in Russellville
Arkansas, under the direction of Arkansas Tech University – Ozark Campus.
Must be able to stand for long
periods of time, lift more than 25 pounds on occasion, and operate machinery in
a law enforcement lab setting.
