Description of Work Unit | The Office of Risk Management & Insurance (RMI) and the Workers’ Compensation Division, works closely with risk partners across the university campus and community. The RMI team is comprised of experts in the field of insurance, claims management, risk management, loss prevention and ergonomics. Risk Management Goals: Develop and manage programs to monitor, reduce or lessen the impact of CSU losses. Manage and develop the university’s self-insurance reserves to reduce or lessen the impact of university losses. Purchase insurance to lessen the financial impact of CSU’s losses Determine whether the university’s risk appetite and risk mitigation measures are in line with CSU’s strategic goals, mission, and values, and provide the necessary support to meet these challenges. The Workers’ Compensation Program Goals: Develop, implement, and monitor programs that provide quality care and services to CSU employees who incur work related injuries, while reducing the risk and liability to the Colorado State University community and comply with University, Local, State and Federal requirements. |
Position Summary | This position assists the Workers’ Compensation Manager in all aspects in running an efficient Workers’ Compensation program.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with the requirement of 2 days in-office/on-campus. |
