Position SummaryThe Division of Physical Therapy at the Health Sciences Center School of Medicine Campus has a part time 0.1 FTE faculty Instructor position to be the Program Coordinator of the University of New Mexico Women’s Health Physical Therapy Residency. 
Duties of the Program Coordinator include assisting the Program Director in maintaining compliance with accreditation standards, serving as the lead mentor for residents, assisting in developing the program curriculum, and growing the residency program through actions such as recruiting and developing new mentors.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications The Ideal candidate will have:

  • Physical Therapy degree;
  • 5 years' experience in a gender health environment utilizing advanced gender health techniques;
  • Board Certified Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy;
  • Current or eligible NM PT license;
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.

 Preferred Qualifications: 

  • More than 5 years' experience in a gender health environment utilizing advanced gender health techniques.
  • Evidence of continuing education in gender health assessment,
  • Additional physical therapy board specialization,
  • Women’s Health residency graduate,
  • Evidence of continuing education in courses including manual therapy,
  • Dry needling certification,
  • Prior experience as a clinical instructor or residency program coordinator,
  • Advanced degree; DPT post professional 
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities

Teaching Period: 12 month contract x 0.1 (average 4 hours per week)
