Job Summary:

Provide administrative leadership for the University of Colorado School of Medicine’s Diploma in Climate Medicine program. Serve as Section Registrar. Coordinate management of classes responsible for classroom reservations, services, paperwork distribution/collection, and occasionally helping with on-site logistics.  Lead marketing efforts, coordinating website, serving as public face, keeping contact lists current. Develop and maintain strong internal relations within School of Medicine and with external partners and collaborators. 

Key Responsibilities:

Class Management:

  • Serve as the registrar for the Diploma in Climate Medicine, including registration, classroom scheduling, and tracking revenue.
  • Communicate with potential and registered
  • Maintain “cloud-based” curriculum files and Canvas platform
  • Continually manage and monitor program evaluations; 
  • Order/organize supplies, outdoor equipment, and food.
  • Research and contract services such as facilities, transportation, lodging, etc. while following University and CU Medicine purchasing guidelines.
  • Assist with class logistics, including 2-3 weeks per year on-site

Internal/External Relations :

  • Liaison with the overall School of Medicine, ensuring effective communication, compliance, and relations with Department, SOM, and University systems and regulations.
  • Serve as contact with external collaborators

Other duties as assigned 

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • 1 year of professional level experience.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of administrative-level experience
  • Experience working in higher education and/or medical education.
  • Experience working in the University of Colorado system strongly preferred  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to establish quick rapport with students, potential participants, and the general public, and strong relationships with a wide variety of co-workers ranging from administrative staff to medical faculty.
  • Initiative and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task, juggling large and varied volume of work.
  • Flexible, able to quickly adjust and to flourish in a rapidly changing work environment.
  • Entrepreneurial experience and/or outlook.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as  $52,773-$67,128 and will be pro-rated to a .5 FTE.

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
