The Department of Campus Recreation’s mission is to provide quality recreational opportunities to all members of the William & Mary Community to enhance and foster a lifelong appreciation for health, wellness, and recreation.
Position Summary
This is a pooled position. Professionals will provide wellness classes for their Health and Wellness Thematic Area. Group wellness classes include (but are not limited to) Yoga, Tai Ji, Art Therapy, Expressive Movement, Meditation, and Mindfulness. This is a part-time position with no benefits and the hours will be flexible.

All hourly employees are subject to the limitations of the Virginia Manpower Control Program and total hours worked may not exceed, on average, 29 hours per week, over the course of a twelve-month period beginning May 1 each year.
This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.
This position is restricted to the availability of funding.

Required Qualifications
  • Current certification/license for the class being taught (where applicable).
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain these).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience working in the College Setting
  • Flexibility to work on weekends or evenings
  • Membership and involvement with National Association relevant to the class being taught (where applicable)
