Position Summary

ECPI University is seeking an experienced Welding professional to provide continuing education training to experienced Welders. These instructors will teach a variety of classes that focus on shielded metal arc, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, and oxyacetylene/plasma arc/carbon cutting processes.

• Provide practical hands-on instruction to create an engaging learning environment
• Employ instructional technology and active learning approaches to enhance the learning experience and achieve learning outcomes
• Evaluate student academic performance using a variety of assessments and techniques
• Participate in scheduled activities
• Stay current in subject matter through professional development

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of recent welding experience
• Ability to pass certification tests in each welding process taught
• Teaching/training experience preferred
• Current Transportation Worker Identification Credential a plus
• Experience with Container Repair is a plus

 

Skills/Abilities

• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work with a variety of learning styles and skill levels
