Welding Instructor

National Technology Transfer (NTT)  is seeking an experienced Welding professional to provide continuing education training to experienced welders at assigned client locations within the United States.  These instructors will teach a variety of classes that focus on shielded metal arc, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, and oxyacetylene/plasma arc/carbon sutting processes.  

Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide practical hands-on instruction to create an engaging learning environment. 
• Employ instructional technology and active learning approaches to enhance the learning experience and achieve learning outcomes. 
• Evaluate student academic performance using a variety of assessments and techniques. 
• Participate in scheduled activities.
• Stay current in subject matter through professional development. 
• Other duties assigned.

Education/Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of recent welding experience
• Ability to pass certification tests in each welding process taught.  

 

Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to work with a variety of learning styles and skill levels
• Current Transportation Worker Identification Credential a plus

• Teaching/training experience

• Experience with Container Repair is a plus
