Job Summary
Huntsman Mental Health Institute (HMHI) is looking for a dynamic, motivated, and creative Website & Digital Publishing Specialist to contribute to the maintenance and management of the institute’s website enterprise and the creation, implementation, and execution of digital publishing projects.
This individual will be a key player within the marketing and communications team at Huntsman Mental Health Institute and possess experience with website maintenance, digital communication, and content management. You will perform a variety of writing, design, and project management tasks while using good judgment and strong interpersonal skills to plan and execute marketing/communications initiatives. We are seeking someone who is comfortable collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders to accomplish projects.

Responsibilities
  • Website development and management: Support the development and maintenance of HMHI’s enterprise web presence, ensuring an engaging and user-friendly experience and alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Develop and execute an annual web and content strategy aligned with HMHI’s goals.
    • Edits and maintain webpages, provider profile pages, website inventory, and audits
    • Build new webpages, including forms, seminar/event pages, program pages, conference page, research program related webpages, residency/fellowship/student program webpages, landing pages, news stories
    • Write and edit web copy maintaining consistency with brand and style guidelines and optimizing for SEO
  • Content creation and coordination: Develop and publish engaging and informative content across digital channels, including HMHI’s websites, external newsletter, and other owned digital channels. Coordinate content creation and distribution with internal and cross-departmental teams, ensuring consistency and alignment with HMHI’s messaging and goals.
  • Digital publishing: Prepare and execute a monthly external newsletter, showcasing HMHI’s achievements, initiatives, and relevant industry updates. Conceive, design, develop, and produce additional digital publication projects and related art work, such as patient and staff educational materials, brochures, flyers, and marketing materials.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand organizational goals and to create and support digital communications for major initiatives. Collaborate with the HMHI’s marcomm team and U of U Health marcomm teams to ensure consistency of cross-functional initiatives across digital platforms.
  • Visual aesthetics: Maintain a strong eye for details and visual aesthetics, ensuring an online presence that is cohesive, visually consistent, and in alignment with HMHI’s brand.
  • Data utilization: Compile and analyze data and analytics to make informed decisions and recommendations regarding digital channels, content performance, and user engagement.
  • Marketing & event support: Support overall marketing and communication team initiatives, contributing to cross-functional efforts, including internal and external events, community outreach, crisis communications, and other content-related activities.
  • Technical proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in content management systems (CMS), keyword research and SEO optimization, email platforms (e.g., MyEmma), Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, SmartSheet, and Asana.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) with 2-4 years of experience.
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
Preferences
  • Two to four years of progressively responsible experience in web development and digital content creation.
  • Proven experience in website management, content updates, and coordination.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), digital communication platforms, and basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and website analytics tools.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for design and a passion for creating engaging content.
  • Prior experience in newsletter coordination or a similar role is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends.
