The Department of Educational Studies, College of Education and Human Ecology, at The Ohio State University seek a dynamic instructor with expertise in Workforce Development Education (WDE). This appointment, at the Senior Lecturer level, is essential for sustained operation of the WDE program and the current needs in the academic area within the Department.

This is a 100% appointment in the Department of Educational Studies with the following split: 80% teaching and 20% service and administration. This position will teach 4 courses per semester in the Workforce Development and Education area. The Senior Lecturer position provides support to the three licensure programs in Workforce Development Education: Career and Technical Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, and Integrated Business. The Senior Lecturer oversees the Accreditation, Placement, and Licensure (APL) tasks and responsibilities for Family and Consumer Sciences and Integrated Business and is the lead instructor involved with teacher observations for new, first-year teachers in the Career and Technical Education licensure program. The Senior Lecturer also teaches two of the courses required by all three licensure programs. Other duties as assigned.

Required Education: Master's Degree with a major in Workforce Development & Education Required Experience: Earned Master’s in Workforce Development and Education or related area at the time of appointment. Demonstrated relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels and program administration.

Desired Experience: Strong candidates will have a record of excellence in undergraduate and/or graduate level instruction, with research experience sufficient to support the academic mission of our students and the Department.

80% The Senior Lecturer in Workforce Development Education program provides support to the three licensure programs in WDE: Career and Technical Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, and Integrated Business. This position will teach 4 courses per semester in the Workforce Development and Education area. Courses taught by the Senior Lecturer are required by all three licensure programs. Is also the lead instructor involved with teacher observations for new, first-year teachers in the Career and Technical Education licensure program. This position also conducts three observations each semester to approximately 30 teachers. Specific teaching responsibilities will be determined in consultation with the WDE program lead and the Department chair.

20% The Senior Lecturer oversees the APL tasks and responsibilities for Family and Consumer Sciences and Integrated Business (school placements, student observations in both field experiences and student teaching, all data requests and any additional tasks required by APL). Hiring Range for this position is $55,000 - $64,000
