Job Summary

Job Description
  • Provide project management towards the Statewide Incident Management System (SIMS) and serve as a liaison with the SIMS contractor.
  • Work directly with program office and contractor staff to track, manage, and ensure resolution of all work requests submitted to the SIMS contractor. 
  • Work with the Office of Technology Services, the SIMS contractor, and program office staff to resolve any connectivity issues that arise with the system’s three data interfaces. 
  • Facilitate and lead all meetings with the SIMS contractor and subject matter experts.
  • Create and manage reports to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Provide regular reports to the SIMS workgroup containing all information on open work requests/tickets.
  • Track and report at least monthly to the LDH SIMS workgroup the balance of enhanced support services hours remaining for the current fiscal year.
  • Submit invoices and supporting documentation received from the vendor to the LDH SIMS workgroup for approval.
  • Submit payment authorization of invoice(s) to the Section Chief.
  • Develop, document and periodically update business processes.
  • Assists HCBS Systems Manager with other duties including planning and preparing for Medicaid enterprise system certification and working with third party EVV vendors to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience in managing projects and coordinating on multi-agency projects.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience working with LDH information systems such as LaMEDS or MMIS.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience with writing business documents such as reports, abstracts and memorandums.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Great attention to detail and follow up.

DESIRED:

  • Advanced degree.
  • Minimum three years of professional experience in managing projects and coordinating on multi-agency projects.
  • Minimum three years of professional experience working with LDH information systems such as LaMEDS or MMIS.
  • Minimum three years of experience with writing business documents such as reports, abstracts and memorandums.
  • Minimum one year of professional experience with Electronic Visit Verification.
