Position Summary
The Visiting Senior Research Specialist for the Coordinator of Community Relationships and Linkages is responsible for working with specific regions of the state to ensure effective collaborations and partnerships are in place for the successful implementation of all aspects of the community crisis response system, including the providers of mental and behavioral health services, 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline Centers (LCC), Mobile Crisis Response Teams, emergency responders, and associated organizations and networks. The coordinator will also be responsible for managing regional meetings and activities related to the implementation of the Community Emergency Services and Support Act (CESSA). This is a key position for developing Illinois' capacity to respond to mental and behavioral health crises and create alternative options to a system where law enforcement or EMS are the only first responders. He/she is part of a team under the leadership of the Director for Statewide Linkages and a part of the Crisis Hub team at the Jane Addams Colleges.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Convene and support potential partners at local levels across the state to assure relevant parties are part of the planning and execution of linkage agreements between state-funded entities and appropriate providers.
  • Assist community leaders and constituents to develop and implement linkage protocols between crisis response providers in accordance with guidance in development in regional CESSA governance meetings
  • Assist with developing protocols for monitoring the quality of collaborative service delivery to ensure seamless transfer of responsibility within the system of community responders
  • Contribute material, prepare results, and assist with writing research findings for publications, papers, presentations, grants, and other documents for publication.
    The salary range for this position is in the $ 70,000-80,000.
    Qualifications:
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in social science or related field required. Master's degree in social science preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years related research experience.
    • Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices, and methods.

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Documented experience or expertise in one or more of the following: policy analysis and development, program development and management, and grants and contract management
  • Knowledge and experience with the behavioral health continuum
