Position Summary | The Department of Biology at William & Mary, a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, invites applications for a two-year, non-tenure eligible Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor instructional position that will begin August 10, 2024. We seek an individual with expertise in molecular and cellular biology who can teach a large upper-level molecular cell biology course. The successful applicant will be expected to be an effective teacher and will have a 3-3 teaching load including two sections of Molecular Cell Biology, and either a small upper-level topics course or an upper level lab class, each semester. |
Required Qualifications | A Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology or a closely related field is required at the time appointment begins (August 10, 2024). Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level is required. |
Preferred Qualifications | Potential or demonstrated ability to teach a large undergraduate molecular cell biology course, and small upper-level topics or lab classes. Relevant postdoctoral research experience will be viewed favorably |
