| Job Details | Visiting Assistant Professor The HTC Honors College at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position, beginning August 16, 2024. We are seeking an excellent teacher-scholar, who has experience teaching using innovative and active learning approaches. Faculty will be expected to teach interdisciplinary seminar courses in our Honors Program, with the option for special topics courses in their area of expertise. Faculty are expected to provide high quality instruction and to provide professional service to the University. The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree in an interdisciplinary field of study, have an established record of innovative and engaged teaching, and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, student learning and inclusive pedagogy. Candidates must have the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and students, both in the college and across the campus. Individuals must be academically or professionally qualified at time of hire. Coastal Carolina University is a public comprehensive liberal arts institution located in Conway, South Carolina, just nine miles from the Atlantic coastal resort city of Myrtle Beach.
