Position Summary
Video Production Assistant is to assist in combining raw video footage of live continuing education events hosted by Rosenberg School of Optometry. Video Production Assistant reports to Assistant Dean for Professional Advancement.
Essential Functions
  • Responsible for combining raw video footage of live continuing education events hosted by the Rosenberg School of Optometry.
  • Synthesize speaker presentation slides, speaker, and room audio as well as secondary camera angles into 50-to-100-minute video packages that will be available to be viewed by practicing optometrists for asynchronous continuing education credit.
  • Provided guidelines for producing videos in a standard format but will be given some creative license to deliver content in a meaningful way to the viewer.
  • Create a new video file of a slide presentation that is timed to match the pace at which the recorded speaker advances through the slides.
  • Work at their own pace to complete projects but will have periodic deadlines that will be made available at least 14 days in advance.
  • Workload will vary by month but will increase following a continuing education conference.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
