DUTIES:
Direct Supervisor: Teaching Lab Manager
Primary duties will include:
- Provide support for classroom technology (including class preparation and set-up)
- Assist Senior Teaching Lab Assistant in checking in and out video/audio/lighting equipment;
- Assist faculty members with studio and lab instruction, including VU Studio production and development training.
- Clean labs, TV control rooms, studios and work areas; and
- Other duties as assigned.
Schedule: Hours are flexible, may include evenings (usually no weekends). 20 hours per week maximum.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):
Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires high school and two years of work experience in instructional or laboratory work. College coursework may be substituted for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have some experience in the use of professional video cameras, tripods, batteries, wireless microphones, drones and video editing software. Some job training is provided. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must have basic computer skills and file management skills. Must be able to communicate with students, staff, and faculty in a professional and courteous manner. Customer relations skills are a must.
