ROLE of the POSITION

The Vice President for Research (VPR) is central to UNLV's mission of fostering a vibrant ecosystem of research and scholarship that addresses the critical issues of our time. Candidate Profile

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Ph.D. or other research-based terminal degree from an accredited university as well as a minimum of five years of experience leading a complex research organization, including at least two years of management / supervisory experience. Candidate must demonstrate a high potential to carry out the principal duties and responsibilities of this position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience serving as the chief research officer at a Carnegie R1 research institution.
