Position Summary
The Department of Neurological Sciences at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE is recruiting an academic neurologist to join the Vascular Neurology Division.
Nebraska Medicine, our hospital partner, has been recognized by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association for extraordinary care three years in a row and awarded the Target: Stroke Elite Advanced Therapy Award. We are Nebraska’s only public academic health sciences center, known internationally for treatment, training and quarantine methods for COVID-19.
This is an exciting opportunity to grow our regional Stroke Program and inpatient/outpatient vascular neurology care.
Opportunity Highlights:

  • Collaborative multidisciplinary teams including endovascular neurosurgeons, neurointensivists, emergency physicians, and neuroradiologists
  • Dedicated clinical neurosciences inpatient unit, neurocritical care unit and acute stroke inpatient service with APP and case manager support

The successful candidate must be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree) who is a board certified/eligible neurologist with additional fellowship training in vascular neurology. BC/BE Neurologist
Fellowship training in Vascular Neurology
Knowledge of sub specialty-specific diagnostics
Supplemental Qualifications
Experience in stroke research.
