Job Summary | The student in this position will be working with CHPC staff to support and troubleshoot our Linux based High Performance Computing Clusters. |
Responsibilities | This involves using/learning Linux administrator skills, hardware troubleshooting skills, interacting with vendors for warranty/RMA processes and developing a working understanding of the HPC systems. The role will work with other students and full-time staff within CHPC to accomplish the needs and responsibilities of the job on an ongoing basis. There will be opportunities to help develop new solutions involving programming (scripting) as well as participating in other projects within the department as opportunity permits. The hands-on work will take place at the University of Utah Downtown Data Center near 8th south and West Temple. |
