Job Summary/Basic Function
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the daily operations of the Registrar’s Office
  • Provides planning, programming, operations, delivery of services, advice, and counsel in areas related to Registration
  • Supervises staff, including making recommendations for staffing, conducting performance evaluations, addressing disciplinary matters, assigning work, etc.
  • Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the registration system, registration policies, and services
  • Develop the operating budget, identify equipment and personnel requirements and maintain control of budgeted expenditures
  • Maintain and archive student academic records and University enrollment data
  • Work with deans and administrators in the development of new courses and academic programs, monitoring the process to ensure academic integrity
  • Produce and distribute official University statistics for internal, state and federal reports
  • Perform the final credential review of candidates for graduation to ensure that all University graduation requirements have been completed
  • Entering and abstracting BANNER Enterprise System and its features with Information Services Represent the Office of the Registrar and/or the Academic Affairs Division on appropriate committees
  • Serve as Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) liaison for the implementation of the electronic transmission of information system
  • Serve as designated school official for international students
  • Attendance at local, state, and national conferences
  • Memberships in state, regional, national organization related to the position

  • Master Course Inventory and Class Schedule
  • Registration, Drops/Adds, and Withdrawals
  • Transfer Credit evaluation
  • Enrollment verifications and certifications
  • Transcript requests and production
  • Document imaging (Optical Disk Storage) of Academic Records
  • Veterans Certification
  • Certification of Graduates
  • Diploma production
  • Web Services for students, maintenance and operation
  • Preparation of official enrollment reports
  • Reviewing, updates, changes or deletion of policies related to Registration and Student Records as approved by the University Senate and/or the CSU Board of Trustees
  • Evaluation of Transcripts
  • Hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of BANNER Enterprise System
  • Computer knowledge / Proficient in Microsoft suite
  • Managerial / leadership skills
  • Ability to organize and maintain multiple record keeping systems
  • Proficient in organization development

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years in a Registrar environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must be computer literate and skilled in various data reporting/software system

Master’s Degree
